The Best Episode of The Killing Yet

6 Jun

This guy is the best character on this show. Straight up.

The Killing has been flawed to say the least. Red herrings ran amok, with a significant majority of the first season spent on a lead that turned out to be the deadest of dead ends, not to mention a bizarre subplot about a mayoral candidate who has little to do with the central mystery.

But last night’s episode, entitled “Missing,” was the best installment yet, an emotional character study that focused solely on detectives Linden and Holder. It was great and proved that despite structural issues and weak supporting characters, The Killing is certainly worth our time. It’ll probably go back to same old, same old next week, but “Missing” was a gem. You can read my recap over at Culturemob.

Only two episodes remain…
